Senator Barack Obama claimed the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday evening, prevailing through an epic battle with Senator Hillary Clinton in a primary campaign that inspired millions of voters from every corner of America to demand change in Washington.
His rival Hillary Clinton has congratulated him on his campaign - although she stopped short of conceding defeat.
65 per cent of participants – spanning all continents right around the world – said the young Illinois senator was their choice to take on John McCain in the race for the White House, against just 35 per cent who selected Hillary Clinton.

Obama vs Clinton: which has been his best tactics ?

The outcome for the Democratic nomination is actually beyond a reasonable doubt, now let us analyze which has been the winning tactics of Barack Obama.
In my opinion the top 3 reasons are:

Americans - and particularly young Americans - are sick of Republican appeals based on the things that divide us, particularly race. Obama rides America’s hunger for unity.
Obama has been able to put down an all states strategy, he hunted delegates in every state of America.
Obama is a great comunicator and the perfect candidate: he is funny, brilliant, inspirational, has experience as community organizer and has a beautiful family.

Obama wins in North Carolina

Hillary Rodham Clinton lost North Carolina on Tuesday and with it her last best chance at the White House.
The results dented if not doomed her hopes of convincing superdelegates to disregard Obama’s lead in delegates, states won and popular vote to nominate her.
Obama came into the race at a low point, reeling from his former minister Jeremiah Wright’s racially divisive remarks and a blistering loss in Pennsylvania that raised questions about whether he can win white voters. Clinton had momentum and devoted her scarce funds and precious time to turning around a long-anticipated Obama win in North Carolina.
